The Weta Nichols Writing Contest

The Weta Nichols Writing Contest, named in honor of the late novelist Weta Nichols, founder of Ozarks Romance Authors, is held each year.

Submissions consist of the first chapter (up to 2,500 words) of your unpublished novel in the following categories: Historical, Contemporary, Paranormal/Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Young Adult/Middle Grade. Entries are open genre and NOT required to contain romantic tones. In addition to cash prizes, entrants may earn the opportunity to have their work read by professional agents and editors, who serve as the judges for the final stage of the contest.

The Weta Nichols Writing Contest is open to both published and unpublished authors, but the piece submitted must be unpublished (traditional, self-pub, or e-pub) and not under contract.
